Pete Buttigieg. Bernie Sanders. Beto O’Rourke. And soon, Joe Biden. The most diverse field of candidates ever has been dominated lately by white men, leading Democratic voters to grapple with complicated questions about race, gender and politics.

The Mueller report revealed how President Vladimir Putin’s pursuit of back channels to President Trump spun into high gear after the 2016 election, channeled largely through people in the business world in both countries.

Mr. Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudolph Giuliani, insisted on Sunday that it was acceptable for a campaign to use hacked information about its opponent obtained from a foreign adversary, saying, “There’s nothing wrong with taking information from Russians.”
