Brexit: No checks on goods going from NI to GB, says PM

The prime minister has told Conservative party members in Northern Ireland that goods travelling from the region to the rest of the UK will not face any customs checks.

Boris Johnson made the comments while briefing Conservative party members in Northern Ireland on Thursday.

The Brexit deal has major implications for Northern Ireland, with the region continuing to follow many EU rules on food and other manufactured goods, while the rest of the UK will not.
